About a week ago I tapped the heels of my sparkly red slippers together and magically found myself back home in the midwest. The next 2 months will mark the longest break we’ve had in quite some time. I’ve decided to spend my time at home DOING ME. Starting to take pictures for myself, blog for myself, and learn for myself! I have also decided that I need to hang with my family as much as possible. I don’t plan on living at home for too much longer so it’s time to soak in as much family as possible!
Yesterday my grandmother, cousin, sister, and nephew came over to enjoy some good old fashioned fun in the sun. I snapped a few pics and posted them below. Shooting loved ones and candids is a great way to learn more about shooting people and portraits.

Well it’s Valentines day. What do you do when you don’t have a girl, guy, or domestic partner??… You make cookies and try hard to convince yourself that the money you saved today is worth the solitude!
But for real, look at the bright side! You have no one to answer to, no one to tell you what to do! It’s an ultimate, almost euphoric freedom. But soon enough that freedom fades; quickly. We all know after 6 months detachment gets old almost as fast as Justin Bieber. Never the less on this day,Valentines Day, try hard to remember how great being single was for that short moment in time. Bring your friends and family close and try to forget that being single really does suck! ;)
Keep your head up single kinds, it’ll be alright ;)
